Shawl Weaving Artisan - Textile Fibers and Safety
Identification of fibers by burning and microscopic test
Objectives : At the end of this exercise you shall be able to
• identify fibers with burning test
• identify fibers with microscopic test.
Requirements
Tools/Equipment’s/Instruments • Eraser - 1 No.
• Microscope (Medium) - 1 No • Wool fiber - 5 gms
• Cotton Fiber - 5 gms
Materials • Silk fiber - 5 gms
• Notebook - 1 No. • Nylon fiber - 5 gms
• Pencil - 1 No. • Acrylic fiber - 5 gms
